Our clients were drawn to Somer’s approach while seeking a kitchen solution that reflected their commitment to improving the environmental performance of their home as part of a broader energy retrofit. Faced with an overwhelming array of conventional fitted options, Somer’s clear, considered offering made the decision straightforward.

Designed in collaboration with architect Alice Shepherd, the project focused on restoring the kitchen and dining area to its original scale after it had been subdivided into smaller rooms. The kitchen features a long run of cabinetry with all modern conveniences, complemented by an island designed for food preparation, socialising, and additional storage. A large custom dining table and integrated window seat were also included within our scope, enhancing the space’s sense of gathering and comfort.
