Our name, Somer, comes from Somerset – ‘land of the summer people’. Based in Frome (pronounced froome), a town known for its independent spirit, we continue the tradition of standing against the status quo.

The origin story

Somer’s founder, Will Floyd-Maclean, honed his craft over 10 years at the helm of several award winning design and fabrication studios. A design - led approach to craft that is the mainstay of Wills career to date informs everything we do at Somer. The difference is that now we’re free to take full responsibility for the life cycle of our products.
