Rye Bakery's wine bar and bottle shop is the latest addition to their operation at Station Approach, Frome. The brief called for a space that could hold its own alongside an already-established bakery and pizzeria, without feeling like an afterthought.

Spruce base units and TYP2 display shelving wrap around a Douglas Fir island, forming the working centre of the room. Under-counter wine storage sits where it needs to without interrupting the line of the cabinetry. The system's modularity made the tight installation timeframe achievable without cutting corners on the finish.

For a space that trades on atmosphere as much as produce, low-intervention joinery that lets the room breathe was the right answer.
